At Copper Run, we’re adding a full-time M&A Analyst to our Columbus headquarters to support the execution of buy-side and sell-side engagements across a wide range of industries. You'll work side-by-side with seasoned dealmakers, clients, and company leadership to help deliver outstanding outcomes in the middle market.

This is more than just a back-office role—it's a front-row seat to the deal process, from sourcing through close.

What You’ll Do

You’ll play a key role in supporting your deal team across all phases of the M&A lifecycle:
  • Research and identify strategic buyers or acquisition targets
  • Conduct direct outreach via calls, emails, and mail to generate deal conversations
  • Build and maintain acquisition trackers, data rooms, and transaction files
  • Develop compelling marketing materials (CIMs, pitch decks, teasers, etc.)
  • Analyze financial statements and assist in valuation modeling
  • Perform market, industry, and company research
  • Respond to client inquiries with professionalism and urgency
  • Assist in training and guiding interns

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related field
  • 1–3 years of M&A, consulting, public accounting, or finance experience
  • Strong communication skills, including comfort with outbound calls
  • High attention to detail and organizational ability
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word (plus an eagerness to master new tools)
  • Ability to prioritize, multitask, and work well under deadlines
  • Strong team player mentality—collaborative and positive
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship, now or in the future
